A mantel clock from the excellent Parisian manufactory Jean Francois Deniere (1774-1866). A stone base with a central clock with a guilloche dial made of bronze with Roman indexes of the hours, surrounded by vines. A gilded bronze sculpture with the figure of a full-blown Putto playing on two pipes is mounted on the clock. Perfect bronze workmanship, perfect proportions, remarkable refinement of details such as hair, details of a Putta band, facial expressions, fingers ... A mechanism signed with DENIERE A PARIS and a gold medal seal from 1827. Height 50 cm, Putto height 23 cm. Perfect condition !! The clock has been professionally maintained and has a one-year watchmaker's warranty. DENIERE - Jean Francois Deniere founded his bronze factory in 1803 in Paris. Ok. 1844 his son Guillaume joins the company. In a short time, the company is awarded at the best exhibitions, becomes a supplier of European courts, and Napoleon Bonaparte becomes their most famous recipient. The company operates until 1903.
