Jan Astner graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology in the studios of Franciszek Maśluszczak, Professor Andrzej Bieńkowski and Professor Jacek Sempoliński. He deals with painting, drawing, computer graphics and photography. Recent projects are the result of a fascination with multi-sensory perception. Images are part of the image resulting from the idea of the synthesis of metaphors - the abstract combination of sensory experiences affects the individual feelings of each recipient. He exhibited in Europe and the USA, and participated in summer author projects at a gallery in Smoden, Sweden, in Izabelin, Poland. For 25 years he has been involved in consulting related to brand building and management. He lives and works in Izabelin, Poland and Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. He creates his works in series that place the main emphasis on man and his relations in the era of posthumanism and transhumanism to the world around him. By creating in "process painting" and using his own acrylic techniques, he expressively expresses the topics of interest to him: Voluptuous Towns - impressions of the visited cities, shown as places where life goes on, not architecture or space plays a key role here, but feelings and experiences closely related with a socio-cultural space that influenced the author, Sybaritic Poses - analysis of the interaction between the external and internal world of man, both in the material and sensual and psychological spheres, Transhuman Portraits - reflection on changes in the human body, on beautification and modification, Synesthetic Landscapes - a multi-sensory pretext involving individual perception. Which flavors are represented in the image? Which colors of sounds can you hear? What is the relationship between touch and color? Etc. His art is very personal, evoking individual, unique relationships and coexisting experiences transmitted in a natural, delicate, simple and easily digestible way. Outside of Poland, his works are presented and successfully sold in Toulouse, Paris, Brussels, Antwerp, Amsterdam, Malaga, Lisbon and Luxembourg.
