Styling everyday objects or objects of public use in an unusual way has become a permanent feature of the latest trends in art. Polish artists are doing exceptionally well in this field, successively conquering local and foreign markets. Creativity, high quality of projects or unique materials are what characterize the works of our native artists and it is something that is definitely worth talking about.
Design is about creating extraordinary artworks from seemingly ordinary objects. Experimenting with form, structure and color is an integral part of the process of designing things called designer. Why are they so desirable? Because they help to implement the most unusual ideas for arranging any interior. At a time when people want to express their individuality at every step, things designed by artists are extremely popular. The design market is growing day by day, and this trend is likely to only increase in the future. It is caused, among others, by growing incomes of Poles.
The Design Department was created to promote this trend in art, as well as to organize auctions where you will find unique items by the best Polish artists. So far, we have had the pleasure of selling items designed by such names as: Roman Modzelewski, Maria Chomentowska or Oskar Zięta. In this way, we promote Polish thought as a designer and contribute to its popularization all over the world. We work with artists of both the older and younger generation and we are open to people who are just starting their adventure in the world of art.
The design auctions we organize are very popular among customers. The projects of the artists cooperating with us can be found not only at home, but also in galleries, exhibitions, restaurants and even boutiques. Thanks to the work of the design department, we jointly introduce art to public, utility and private space. The cost of such items, of course, depends on the artist, but due to the growing competition, sometimes you can find real gems at extremely bargain prices.
In the context of the Polish school of design, items from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s are particularly desirable and attract collectors from all over the world. Extremely popular are, among others furniture and porcelain, the stylist of which is straight out of the communist era. In this way, you can acquire a piece of living history - it is especially attractive for foreign collectors who could only read about the PRL in newspapers and books.
If you have any doubts about the auction or the items themselves, please contact us. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have and advise you on interesting occasions that regularly appear at our auctions. The necessary contact details can be found on our website, in the Contact tab.
