Jakub Święcicki is a Polish artist, designer of functional textiles and machine embroidery. He creates on the borderline of fibre arts, crafts and design. He is currently a second-year doctoral student at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. For several years he has been actively involved with the Institute of Design in Kielce, where he runs the Textile Studio. In 2017, he took a six-month course in Textile and Clothing Management at Tianjin Polytechnic University. Graduated in Design with a specialisation in Product Design (2018) and Design of Applied Forms at his alma mater (2020) at Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce. In 2020, he completed the Textile Engineering Professional Training Program course at Tiangong University. Winner of the Green Concept Award 2021 in the Handicraft category and the Prof. Irena Huml Award at the 11th International Biennale of Artistic Linen Textiles "Z krosna do Krosna" 2022.
