Marian Bogusz is a Polish painter, sculptor, author of spatial forms, stage designer, and cultural animator. During the war he was in the Mauthausen camp. After the war he began his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in the atelier of Professor Jan Cybis. In 1954, he became a co-founder of Grupa 55. At first, he created abstract compositions, then leaning towards figurativism, he presented deformed figures and objects. He co-organized the contemporary art gallery at the Crooked Circle Club in Warsaw. In the 1960s, he focused on texture and color in his works, which led him to develop his own unique style.
