Pia Maria Górska was a Polish painter, poet and social activist. Her first painting tips were given to her by Józef Rapacki, Józef Mehoffer and Józef Chełmoński. From 1920 she studied at a private school with Konrad Krzyżanowski and Tadeusz Pruszkowski, and from 1922 to 1928 she studied at the Warsaw School of Fine Arts. She was interested in many themes: she created portraits, genre, allegorical and religious scenes, and landscapes. From 1939 onwards, the artist painted very rarely, while in the post-war period she wrote quite a lot.
