Stanisław Zagajewski was a Polish artist, a primitivist. The artist's main artistic material was fired clay, sometimes also glazed. He created his sculptures intuitively, with passion. He created religious representations: figures of the Sorrowful Christ or his wall-mounted 'altars'. From 1963 to 1983, he worked at the Artistic and Folk Handicraft Cooperative "Sztuka Kujawska". His products were later sold in "Cepelia" shops. He spent most of his life in Włocławek, living in poverty.
