Władysław Chmieliński was a Polish painter who studied at the Municipal School of Decorative Arts and Painting in Warsaw between 1926 and 1931. Apart from the few trips he made between 1967 and 1969, he lived and worked in the capital. His main interest was Polish architecture. Before the war, he most often used watercolours, while after the war he preferred oil painting. In 1967-1969 he used the pseudonym Władysław Stachowicz. In the Museum of the King John III Palace in Wilanów there are five of his canvases showing the palace interiors.
