A wonderful, huge tray made entirely of 925 silver in the London goldsmith's workshop of Daniel & John Wellby. The rim of the tray and the ears are decorated with motifs of acanthus leaves and plastic shells. Comfortable ears lift upwards for easier grip. On the bottom there is a feature for London silverware with the letter "g" dating silver to 1902 and the workshop mark of the company in the form of two double monograms "DW / JW" - Daniel Wellby / John Wellby ". The tray is of impressive dimensions 76 x 49 cm, thick-walled silver , heavy; weight 4614 grams !!! General condition very good, tray with no signs of repairs or tampering. Mirror tray smooth, straight, no engravings, with only small scratches visible that can be easily polished. Tray intentionally not polished, preserved with natural patina Considering the sheer weight of the gold, the silver offered is at an excellent price!
