Halston
Name
Halston
Halston is an American luxury fashion brand founded in 1953 (initially as a hat company) by Roy Frowick Halston. Halston gained great fame after designing the pillbox hat that Jacqueline Kennedy wore to the inauguration of her husband's presidency in 1961. In 1966 Halston expanded his brand into clothing. He began using the materials that had become his trademark, such as jersey, cashmere and ultra suede, to reinvent the jumpsuit, shirt and classic caftan. He left a lasting mark on American fashion.
