An (online) auction house is a company that sells goods, mainly works of art (such as paintings, sculptures, posters, photographs, crafts, or collectible jewelry), antiques and real estates. The sale is carried out through an auction, where the starting point is a set minimum price for the work. In accordance with the classical English auction system, the object is sold to the person who bids the highest amount for it during the auction.

What are the characteristics of an online auction house?

In the case of Artbidy – the first online auction house in Poland, the process takes place entirely in the Internet space, on Artbidy's website. Therefore, there is no need to deposit artworks for sale in the auction house's office. Another advantage of art auctions conducted entirely online is the ability to participate in the auction from anywhere in the world. Coming to the auction venue in person at the scheduled time is a thing of the past, when you can bid for the artworks from the comfort of your home.

Online auction house – bidding

During an Artbidy auction, bids can be placed by logging into your account. Additionally, you may bid on works of art without registering - you may place a bid with a chosen limit or bid by phone. Payment is made by online transfer (via PayU and PayPal systems), BLIK code or card transaction. It is also possible to pay for the purchase when collecting the object personally from our office in Warsaw.
