An asparagus service shovel made of top-quality 950 silver in the Parisian goldsmith's workshop of the eminent goldsmith Edmond Tetard in the early 20th century. Made in the elegant Louis XVI style, the openwork scoop decorated with garlands of flowers, the handle with pearling. The shovel is very large; length 25 cm, the scoop itself measuring 11.5 x 10 cm, thick-walled, heavy silver, weight 166 grams. The bucket bears the hallmark for French silver (Minerva1) applied after 1838 and the workshop mark of the goldsmith's workshop in the form of the name TETARD (Freres) inscribed in a rhombus with the symbol of a teapot. Condition very good, micro scratches.
