A pair of decorative salt shakers made at the beginning of the 20th century, with 800 silver, in the Martin Mayer goldsmith's workshop. Martin Mayer's studio was founded in 1888 in Mainz. Salt shakers in the form of full-plastic swans made with the greatest goldsmithing craftsmanship. Inside, there are two original, appropriately profiled glass inserts. Set with swans, two spoons for salt, made of 835 silver, decorated with a motif of swan heads, original gilded scoops. Height 49 mm, width 57 mm, total gross weight 66 grams. On the bottom there are visible German hallmarks for 800 silver and a goldsmith's workshop mark. Perfect condition, natural patina of time preserved.
