An exhibition dedicated to costumes inspired by nature at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. The theme is the most beautiful dresses, skirts, handbags, shoes and hats made from the 16th century to the present day.
The Victoria and Albert Museum showcases some of the most phenomenal outfits that revolutionized fashion and influenced how it is seen today. Among them were clothes modelled on nature (fabrics with flower or insect motifs).
The London gallery is at the forefront of showing elegant period costumes. One need only mention, for example, last year's exhibition devoted entirely to Alexander MCQueen. The 'Fashion Inspired by Nature' exhibition is the next instalment in a series of exhibitions whose main actors are costumes. It can be seen until 27 January 2019.
