Mechanical piggy bank made in the 1890s in the USA in the Shepard Hardware manufacture. Bore the official name "Bank Jolly Nigger", today socially incorrect, replaced in the nomenclature with "Bank Jolly Boy". Cast iron with manual multi-colored painting. On the back there is a trigger (a protruding pressure element) which is also a mechanism thanks to which the character raises his hand while swallowing a coin. Piggy bank preserved in very good condition, with original paint (which is rare, because the most often worn paint was replaced with home-grown painting. A convex, embossed name "Jolly Boy Bank" on the back. Height 16.5 cm, width 13 cm. Polish coins in circulation A collector's item, very rare on the European antiquarian market.
