


A tray made in silver in Vienna in the fourth quarter of the 19th century from sterling silver 800 in the goldsmith's workshop of Eduard Steiter (active since 1889). It is arched towards the top with a profiled rim, on the sides two decorative ears. The mirror of the tray decorated with engraved floral ornaments, in the central part a beautiful cartouche with the engraved coat of arms of the Lubicz family. On the underside, for practical reasons, so that the tray could carry heavier weights and be more stable, the goldsmith inserted the original wooden bracket. Visible in two places are the Viennese hallmarks for 800-gauge silver used between 1872 and 1922, and the goldsmith's workshop mark in the form of the monogram "ES" - Eduard Steiter. The tray measures 55 x 34 cm, weight 1445 grams. Very good state of preservation, the silver with no signs of physical damage or repairs. Minor scratches visible, natural patina of time.
