The subject of the auction at Artbidy's auction house is a unique painting "Still Life with Vessels and Flowers" by Olga Boznańska, dated on 1906. The painting comes from a private collection and has never been offered on the auction market. It spent over 20 years on the wall with one person who received it as a wedding gift. Previously, the painting was part of a large private collection, from which it was purchased by the aunt of the current owner.
The offered painting shows a group of items arranged on a brown table. There are porcelain dishes on it. On the left side of the table there is a white vase with a bunch of wilting flowers. A few petals of dark pink roses with green leaves and a small vase behind them with a white lid with pale pink flowers complete the look of the work. In the front, on the right side of the painting, in a small white bowl of the stand, there is a yellowish-orange pot - a vase with one handle, and white flowers in a pot behind it. The artist signed the painting in the lower right corner with the signature "Boznańska".
Olga Boznańska (1865-1940) is one of the greatest Polish painters. She created over a dozen portraits and many still lifes with dishes and flowers. Most of her works are owned by museums, so buying them is always an exciting event on the art market.
The painting "Still Life with Vessels and Flowers" by Olga Boznańska can be purchased at the Artbidy auction house online auction, which will start on December 9 (Thursday) at 20:00. The final of the auction will take place on 12/12 (Sunday) at 10:00 p.m. The starting price is 165,000 PLN. The work can be viewed until December 8 (from Monday to Saturday) in the Artbidy showroom in Warsaw after prior appointment.
