Problems with "Salvador Mundi". To this day, disputes persist whether the Leonardo da Vinci painting is actually by the brilliant Italian painter Leonardo da Vinci or whether it was created in his school. In addition, concerns have been raised about its state of preservation.

Is the world's most expensive painting in bad shape?

"The Saviour of the World" by Leonardo da Vinci is believed to be the most expensive painting in the world (bought for $450 million). Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Farhan al - Saud, a friend of Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Muhammad ibn Salaman, pledged on his behalf to buy the canvas for the Department of Culture and Tourism. The trouble is that no one has seen the painting after the successful transaction. Art conservators are concerned about the condition of the more than 500-year-old work, which is extremely fragile and not susceptible to bad weather. Fact is, the unveiling of the painting in Saudi Arabia has been postponed indefinitely, further fuelling the curiosity of art lovers looking for answers to the question - what condition is the Leonardo da Vinci painting in?
