The Jacek Malczewski Museum in Radom houses many magnificent works by the master of Polish Symbolism. In addition to paintings, the permanent exhibition includes busts of Malczewski.

Malczewski in Radom

Jacek Malczewski, one of the best-known Polish painters, became famous for his allegorical representations of chimeras based on mythology. The exhibition also features paintings depicting Polish history, which the painter was privately very interested in. He often portrayed himself as an artist ("Self-portrait with Muse") or Christ. The exhibition features the most interesting representations, in which the artist also portrayed his family: his sisters Bronisława and Helena, his son Rafał (also a painter), his daughter Julia, his wife and his parents. There were also busts of Jacek Malczewski made by Wacław Szymanowski and Janusz Pastwa. An exhibition devoted to the work of Jacek Malczewski could only have been created in Radom, the painter's hometown.
