Daniel Meisner  was a German Old Masters artist, primarily known for his engravings and paintings with religious and allegorical themes. Born in 1585 in Komotau, Bohemia, he later settled in Frankfurt am Main, where he developed his artistic career.

His most significant work is “Thesaurus Philo-Politicus,” a collection of city views first published in 1623. This work, consisting of 52 views, gained considerable popularity and was reissued in subsequent editions with an increased number of illustrations.

Meisner died in 1625, but his works remain valued, especially in the context of art history and collections of engravings.
