Dorota Gaj-Wozniak is a Polish visual artist. In 1998, she graduated from the School of Applied Arts in Poznan with a degree in Fashion and Theatre Costume Design. In 2001, she graduated with honours from the Faculty of Painting at the abovementioned university in the studio of Professor Władysław Dudkowiak (easel painting) and in the studio of Professor Maciej Łubowski (monumental painting). In 2002, together with Robert Woźniak and Monika Ulańska, he formed an informal artistic group under the name Grupa Mixer. They are involved in painting, stage design and theatrical costumes.
What is important for Dorota Gaj-Woźniak's painting is colour, paint and surface - matter which reacts to light in a special way and in which the secret of painting is hidden. The paintings arise from the "organism" of the rectangle. Each figure - shape on the canvas, shares value and space with the picture field. The colour and structure serve a painterly function for content and emotional impact.
In the spring of 2023, Galeria Vzory in Poznań hosted an exhibition of paintings by Grupa Mixer organised in the form of a triptych entitled " We have three worlds with us".
The theatrical output of the Mixer Group includes more than 150 performances realised in theatres all over Poland.
