Georg Grosz was a German caricaturist. He created convincing caricatures showing the dark side of life in Berlin. He showed violence and class contradictions in them. He did not run away from topics such as murder or rape, and indirectly criticised inequality, politicians and the clergy. The artist made his debut as a caricaturist as early as 1910, when he was only 17 years old. At that time, he started working with the magazine "Ulk" (Joke), a supplement to the daily newspaper "Berliner Tageblatt". After the First World War, he became a co-founder of the Berlin Dada movement. He was faithful to the slogan "Dada is meaningless".
