Gustav Klimt was an Austrian painter and printmaker, a representative of Art Nouveau and Viennese Modernism. He studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule (School of Applied Arts) in Vienna. Klimt was a co-founder of the Association of Austrian Artists - Secession. In the artist's paintings, the viewer will notice rich ornamentation and often large amounts of gold. His flagship work is the painting entitled ,,Golden Adela", a portrait of Adela Bloch-Bauer and ,,The Kiss".
