Jerzy Skarżyński is a Polish painter, scenographer, illustrator, and pedagogue. During World War II, he was associated with Tadeusz Kantor's underground theater. In the 1940s, he studied at the Faculty of Architecture of the Krakow University of Technology and the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. Together with Maria Jarema, among others, he worked as a stage designer at the "Groteska" Puppet and Actor Theatre in Krakow. He belonged to the Second Kraków Group. He collaborated with the "Przekrój" magazine. He participated in many group exhibitions and several individual exhibitions of stage design. His paintings are in the collection of the National Museum in Krakow.
