Kader Attia is a French-Algerian artist. He is a graduate of École Supérieure des Arts Appliqués Duperré and École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. In his youth, he spent several years in the Congo and South America. His work is characterized by an intercultural and interdisciplinary perspective. Attia addresses issues such as violence, loss, colonialism, and intergenerational memory. He is interested in socio-cultural research. His work has been shown in numerous prestigious solo and group exhibitions. He currently lives and works in Berlin and Algiers.
