Kajetan Sosnowski was a Polish abstractionist painter. He completed his studies at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in the atelier of Tadeusz Pruszkowski and Wojciech Jastrzębowski in the years 1934-39. The artist was fascinated by physics and chemistry. Experimentation with painting form, inspired by the sciences, was characteristic of Sosnowski's work. From the 1950s, he created abstract compositions. In 1969, he received the prestigious Cyprian Kamil Norwid Award.
