Paweł Kluza (b.1983 Siedlce) | 1988

Paweł Kluza is a Polish painter, continuator of the artistic thought of Nikifor and Edward Dwurnik. His first works were created around 1988 when the artist was living near Jura Krakowsko-Czestochowska. In the 1990s, he began to paint oil pictures, but it was 2004, when Kluza discovered the figure of Nikifor, that the artist considers to be the "official" beginning of his creative work. Currently he continues his cycle "Cities", being constantly inspired by the surrounding world. The artist often refers to the works of Nikifor Krynicki and Edward Dwurnik, at the same time taking inspiration from them and paying homage to them. Kluza's works are associated with Dwurnik's paintings, however elements of his style, color scheme and composition have undergone a specific evolution. His works can be found in many collections in Poland and abroad, including Germany, Switzerland, Canada and the USA.
