Rafał Kulik is a graduate in computer science in Opole. He received his diploma with honours. He currently lives and works in Wrocław. Graphic designer - illustrator, digital painter, photographer. His main themes are paintings on the borderline of fantasy and hard science fiction, as well as illustrations. He draws inspiration mainly from the "Aliens" film series. The author also creates surrealist paintings and modern collages. The author's philosophy is based on a rejection of fairy-tale, commercial creation of works. The primary determinant is an interest in the shape, atmosphere and style of the first science fiction films, in which one would not find artificial splendour of colours and extravagance of models, but the main aim was to build climate, tension and emotion. In these productions, which are close to the creator, one can see the bluntness of the style and what the author wants to emphasise, the paucity of effects, but a psychologically sinking atmospheric experience.
