Tomasz Kowalski is a Polish artist who graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków (2004-2009). He is considered one of the most important Polish painters of the young generation. He is classified by critics as an artist "tired of reality". Furthermore, he creates and lives in Warsaw. In Kowalski's paintings, the viewer can see miniature worlds that have no reference to real reality. One of the characteristic motifs of Tomasz Kowalski's works is the figure of a man in a hat and high boots. The figures painted by him resemble mannequins.
