Wit Leszek Kaczanowski (Witold-K) is a Polish painter, printmaker, sculptor and photographer who has lived in the United States since 1968. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, he was a pupil of Eugeniusz Arct, Wojciech Fangor and Henryk Tomaszewski, among others. A typical element in the composition of his paintings are small human figures suspended in an undefined space. Autobiographical works are important in Kaczanowski's oeuvre, especially those dealing with the loneliness of emigration.
