The palace sculpture 'Satyr with Nymph and Putt' was made at the end of the 18th century in solid white Carrara marble in the sculptor's workshop of Claude Michel Clodion (1738 - 1814) - one of the most prominent, recognisable sculptors of his era. The sculpture depicts a sensual genre scene with the nude, slightly lewd figures of the Satyr and the Nymph with the child Putto at their side. Beautiful, intricate artistic work by the artist rendering the details (hair, fingers, eyes) in the most accurate detail. Height 54 cm, base diameter 30 cm. the sculpture is very heavy (approx. 60 kg), requiring display on a chest of drawers or on a solid geridon.
