A set of ten vintage gold bullion coins of 20 francs of 0.900 each coin weighing 6.45 grams, total weight 64.50 grams. The coins Marianne and Rooster from the early 20th century, have different vintages. The obverse depicts Marianne, the French national symbol of freedom, wearing a wreath of oak leaves. Surrounding the image is the text 'REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE'. Below Marianne's chin is the signature of the master engraver "J.C. CHAPLAIN". The reverse depicts a rooster standing in the grass. Surrounding it is the inscription 'LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE', which means 'Liberty, Equality, Fraternity'. On either side of the rooster's legs is given the split denomination "20 Fcs", below that the year the coin was struck.
