second half of the 19th century

A boudoir clock to put on a small fireplace or a chest of drawers, made in the second half of the 19th century in France. Natural stone casing in an interesting, unique color of dark pink. Decorative appliques, a pair of doves on the top, and on the side a full-plastic putto with a bow and an arrow made of gilded bronze. Porcelain dial with decorative, hand-painted floral motifs with Arabic hour indications. Two original candle holders are included with the clock. Height 23 cm, width 18 x 9 cm, height of candlesticks 13 cm. The clock works very well after the watchmaker inspection and adjustment. Very good condition, a small trace of the blade repair visible near the charge winding key.
