Jan van Kessel, related to the Breughel family, was known for painting still lifes, plants, depictions of insects, shells, as well as biblical scenes. The picture is full of details, you can stare at it for hours, discovering something new each time. Work with dimensions; board 55 x 74 cm, including frame 60 x 79 cm. Very good condition, no signs of repairs or interference, only natural traces of board connections are visible (visible in the picture of the back of the painting).
