Adam Setkowicz (Krakow 1876 - Krakow 1945) is a popular painter of genre scenes with carriages, hunting, sleigh and snow, painted in watercolors or oil, in which he clearly alluded to the works of A. Wierusz-Kowalski, J. Brandt or J. Fałat. However, little is known about the artist's life, except that in the years 1891-1894 he studied at the Krakow School of Fine Arts, where in 1897/1898 he continued his studies under Teodor Axentowicz. In 1933 he took part in an exhibition in Piotrków Trybunalski
