Roman Plewkiewicz's factory was founded in 1886 in Warsaw. It was initially established as a subsidiary of the German WMF factory. Before 1890, it was primarily engaged in importing metal products from Germany and refining their appearance locally. However, the owner strived to produce independently, becoming one of the most respected plating manufacturers in the capital at the beginning of the 20th century. After 1911, the company began to decline and declared bankruptcy in 1934. Products from Roman Plewkiewicz's factory can be found in collections all over the world; Art Nouveau wares can be seen, for example, in the Museum of Art Nouveau in Płock.
