Bożenna Maria Jabłońska studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 1973-1980 (diploma in graphic design in the atelier of Halina Chrostowska, woodcut, linocut; painting studies in the atelier of Teresa Pągowska; postgraduate studies in pedagogical education and at the faculty of theatre, film and television stage design; diploma in the atelier of Józef Szajna).

After her studies, she worked for 4 years at the Institute of Industrial Design as a textile designer, then as an independent artist in the field of painting, scenography and publishing graphics; she cooperated with publishing houses: PWN, PWRiL, Multico, Medium, Alfa, Twin EPEDEIXIS Verlag. In 1991, she received the PTWK Award in the Most Beautiful Book of the Year competition for ‘Lexicon of Medicinal Plants’. Between 1998 and 2005 Bożena Jabłońska was Director of the Garwolin Cultural Centre, later she ran the Contemporary Art Gallery and an art studio for children and young people at the Sports and Culture Centre in Garwolin. Since 2011, she has been working as an independent artist in the field of printmaking and painting.
