


The globe is signed with the manufacturer's logo and name: COLUMBUS VERLAG PAUL OESTERGAARD K.G., BERLIN - LICHTERFELDE 1941 and was produced by the Columbus Publishing House. The publishing house was founded in 1909 by the Oestergaard brothers. For years it was the best globe manufacturer worldwide. A globe from an after-acquired collection, bought for a flat in a tenement house in Łódź in Poland. Good condition, visible losses in the upper and lower part of the globe (on the photos). Dirt on original metal part. The stand mounted secondarily, the rest - original. Height of the whole object: 44 cm, height of the bowl: 32, diameter of the base: 21 cm.
