Beautiful brooch made from 750 gold / 800 silver in the Amadori Giancarlo goldsmith's workshop in Verona around the middle of the 20th century. Brooch in the central part of the composition decorated with a large, full figured insect. The insect set with 20 natural diamond rosettes, the eyes set with natural rubies, the abdomen with natural pearl and deep blue quartz. The brooch bears the Verona hallmark and the goldsmith's workshop mark in the form of a star with the number 40 assigned to it, the full name of the company in italics "Amadori". (photo) and the import marks for France. Length 52 mm, the insect itself quite large, visible measuring 26 × 20 mm, weight 5.40 grams. Condition excellent.
