The dairy pot, impressive with its size, was made in St. Petersburg in the goldsmith workshop of Авраам Форштедт (Abram / Abraham Forstedt), made of 84 silver in 1836. Thick-walled silver with the original gilding of the interior, profiled ebony handle. The milk jug is very large, 13 x 16 cm in size and weighs 230 grams. On the bottom there is a hallmark 84 for silverware of the city of Saint Petersburg with the date 1836 and a goldsmith's workshop mark in the form of a monogram of A.F. inscribed in a rectangle. The condition of almost 200-year-old silver is perfect, with no signs of repairs or tampering, small scratches, natural micro abrasions.
Авраам Форштедт (Abram / Abraham Forstedt) - a goldsmith born in Finland in 1797, he came to Saint Petersburg in 1817, where he became a journeyman, becoming a sub-master / sub-master in 1821, and then receiving the championship title in 1834. He died in Saint Petersburg in 1861.
