A great, collectible salt pan / bowl made in one of the most famous goldsmith's workshops in Russia at that time - Ivan Khlebnikov from sterling silver in the years 1908 - 1917. The silver decorated with multicoloured cellular enamel, thickly gilded throughout. Intentionally preserved natural patina of time under which the original gilding is clearly visible. Height 33 mm, diameter 65 mm, weight 71.63 grams, capacity 100 ml. Such a large salt cellar is very rare, uncommon on the antiquarian market. On the bottom, the goldsmith's workshop mark in the form of the surname "Хлебников" with the titular mark of the Court Supplier and the hallmark for the highest sample silver 88 with the distinction of the city of Moscow applied since the end of the 19th century. There is also an additional 916 hallmark (obligatory for old samples 84 / 88) used in 1927 by the new communist government after the revolution of 1917. Condition.
