Stefan Iglicki, born in 1859 in Bochnia, became a notable figure in Kraków’s furniture-making and civic circles. At age 26, he established his furniture workshop on Sławkowska Street, where he gained significant respect and trust within the Kraków community. Iglicki’s role extended beyond his workshop; he was actively involved in local governance and various influential organizations. As a city councilor and head of the Upholsterers' Guild, he contributed extensively to the city’s craft and commerce sectors. His dedication to public service was also evident through his work with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as a Railway Council member, and as King of the local shooting guild, where he served the broader community of artisans and professionals.

Iglicki's impact on Kraków’s industrial landscape included his involvement in the Supervisory Board of the Association of Polish Crafts and Industry (ZMPiR). He played a key role in acquiring the "Zemper" metalworking factory for the Association, supporting its mission to enhance local craft education and opportunities. Recognized for his contributions, he was named an honorary member of the Association in 1925. Iglicki’s work left a lasting legacy in both the business and civic spheres of Kraków, making his furniture workshop not only a site of craftsmanship but also a center for community and progress.
