Ewelina Agaciak graduated from the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Łódź, defending her diploma in 1960 under Prof. Teresa Tyszkiewicz. She was involved in designing clothing and decorative patterns in print, and has been painting all her life. After her studies, the artist started with abstract works (influenced by Prof. Tyszkiewicz), then numerous plein-airs and began to paint landscapes. Agaciak's Parisian period was due to her frequent stays in that city, from where she brought back information on new trends in textile printing for designers in the cotton and silk industries.
