Parmigianino was an italian painter, he arrived in Rome in 1524 and wowed the public. Parmigianino was a Mannerist painter, the characteristics of his work included elongated figures, sophisticated grace and a rejection of the demands of realism. His most famous works include the painting "Madonna with a Long Neck" (1535, oil on board). In his early years, Parmigianino mainly created church commissions, frescoes and tempera paintings.
