Henryk Cześnik is one of the most prominent artists in Poland. He graduated from the Painting Department of the State Higher School of Visual Arts in Gdańsk, receiving his diploma in the atelier of Professor K. Ostrowski in 1977. Currently lives in Sopot, works as a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sopot, and is the head of the Studio of Fundamentals of Painting and Drawing at the Faculty of Painting and Graphics. He has taken part in numerous solo exhibitions in Poland and abroad, including at the Art Gallery in Lvov (2002), the Palace of Art in Krakow (2006), and the Polish Institute in Stockholm (2006). His works are in the collections of Polish National Museums and museums in Russia, Bulgaria, Germany and in the private collections of many collectors. Cześnik is the winner of numerous artistic awards. He has been connected with Sopot Triada Gallery since its beginning.
