Igor Polasiak is a Polish sculptor, graduate of the Faculty of Sculpture at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. He has been awarded numerous scholarships for high achievements in artistic fields. An idealist steeped in the philosophy of Far Eastern culture. The main material he has been working with since graduating is wood. In his endeavours, he tries to combine sculpture with applied art, which he claims is closer to the human being. He creates handmade objects with high aesthetic qualities, referring to the craftsmen of the Japanese Shokunin culture.
