Indu Antony is an Indian photographer, installation, and performance artist. Her art is deeply rooted in the tradition of the feminist movement and the notion of community. Raised in a traditional Indian family, Antony has managed to overcome many obstacles to pursue her dream and express herself artistically. She works with people who come from the " fringes" of society. Her art deals with difficult topics such as biological and cultural gender, social justice, prejudice, and stereotypes. The artist is the founder of Kanike Studio, a community space, and Mahzi Books, an independent publishing initiative. She currently lives in Bangalore, India.
