Jan Walczewski is a photographer involved in architecture and art photography as well as landscape and fine art photography. His fascination with art, especially painting, has had a huge influence on his way of photographing. He often experiments, using self-built or converted lenses in his work to achieve a more painterly and abstract effect without digital manipulation.
His minimalist seascapes are a particularly appreciated series of photographs. Photographs from the series 'Silence' and 'Clouds and Sea' are in private collections in the United States and Europe.
Walczewski is a two-time winner of the 'Tokyo International Foto Awards' (in 2019 and 2021) and two-time winner of the Monochrome Awards (2018).
