Jean Peske (Jan Mirosław Peszke) was a Polish painter and illustrator of Ukrainian origin, active in France for most of his life. He started his artistic education at the Drawing School of Nikolai Murashka in Kiev, later he studied at the School of Fine Arts in Odessa and at the Warsaw Drawing Class under Wojciech Gerson. He created portraits, landscapes and genre scenes in the style of the Nabist and Post-Impressionist schools. A museum created by him with a collection of his works is located in Collioure. He took part in the exhibition of Polish art at the Grand Palais in Paris in 1921.
