Karol Stobiecki was a Polish painter and lawyer. He studied painting at the Lvov school of Stanisław Kaczor-Batowski and in the studios of Kazimierz Sichulski and Zygmunt Rozwadowski, while simultaneously studying law. In his work at the time, he drew on the traditions of Polish historical and realist painting. In 1941 he moved to Krosno, and in 1945 to Leszno. Three years later, he settled in Wrocław, where he actively contributed to the local arts and culture community.
